Unlike Meet-Up or other groups focusing just on activities, we are a stable long-standing social club whose members build warm, lasting, and meaningful friendships that grow over time as we enjoy events and activities together. These friendships present opportunities for spontaneous events (see a show, snowshoe, or grab dinner) as well as scheduled activities. The sense of spirit and camaraderie is what makes us different. People genuinely enjoy each other’s company and put real energy and effort into planning group events. Our members have diverse personal and professional backgrounds, another reason “Sitz” is such an interesting group.

 Sitzundjiber members have the opportunity to participate in over 50 private events throughout the year.  Here are some examples:

• Museums - MFA, Harvard Museums, Museum of Science
•     Theater - Boch Center, Citizens Opera House, Wheelock Family Theatre
• Concerts - Symphony Hall, Jordan Hall, Berklee Performance Center
• Summer Activities - Softball cookout, kayaking, beach days, boating events
• Winter Activities - skiing - both downhill and cross-country, snowshoeing, ski weekend in Maine, winter hikes
•       Halloween Party complete with music, dancing and costumes
•       Super Bowl party with 3 viewing rooms, appetizers and dinner
• An elegant Black Tie Holiday Party       

Members have the opportunity to attend Events Planning Meetings and suggest any activity they would like to host.  A wide variety of activities and new idea make the club exciting and interesting.  There's something for everyone!
